New Sunpower Panels, check them out!

Sunpower has finally released their new “AC” panels to the North american market and we expect them to create quite the buzz in 2012.  ”AC” modules, for those unfamiliar, are solar panels that come included with pre-installed micro-inverters.  On the back of each panel a small unit converts the Panel’s DC power into AC, a job formerly done by a single large inverter placed near the electric panel (usually down in or near the garage).  The transition from a large single inverter converting an entire array of panel’s power, into each panel having its own local inverter comes with many advantages.  Aside from faster installation, safer operating conditions, and reduced power loss, the AC panel’s most exciting feature is it’s resilience against shade.  Once a major issue with solar systems, shading woes are a thing of the past. So go ahead, leave that beautiful tree you’ve had in the backyard for years. With the new Sunpower Ac modules, solar panels can now work efficiently on ANY roof!
